High plant safety through competency in explosion protection and SIL

With extensive technical and specialist knowledge in the field of explosion protection and SIL (Safety Integrity Level), we develop a profound concept of plant safety for you. For this purpose, our process engineering department prepares, with you, an explosion protection document and the ex-zone site map based on safety considerations and risk assessments.

Taking into account the hazardous area, the EIC department plans the gas or particle group as well as the permissible temperature range for the desired infrastructure and specifies the hardware components of the measuring devices. For intrinsically safe electrical circuits, Ex-I proof (intrinsic safety certificate) will be produced for device combinations. Finally, we produce the required technical documentation for the acceptance of your plant.

Taking into account the safety requirement levels, risk estimation and safety considerations, our specialists plan the safety relevant functions. We specify field devices, the interface levels and the logic (e.g. safety related control). The SIL certificate will be prepared for your area of application according to the most current applicable standards (e.g. VDI/VDE 2180 or DIN EN 61511). In order to technically document the lifecycle of your safety function, we develop the necessary test instructions and protocols for the affected measuring devices.

From functional tests and loop checks to commissioning

Following installation, we undertake the setting and parameterisation of the field devices and check the error-free interaction of all elements using functional tests and loop checks. After successful client acceptance based on FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SIT (Site Integration Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test), as well as technical documentation, we work with you for the commissioning. As a result, we support you with the on-going optimisation under real operating conditions.
